The ESSC represented at the IUGG symposium 'International Cooperation in Earth and Space Sciences', 29 July 2019

In frame of the celebration of its 100th Anniversary, the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) held the symposium 'International Cooperation in Earth and Space Sciences' on 29 July 2019. Taking place at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, the symposium touched upon a variety of topics, such as Earth and Space Sciences and Society, Earth Science for Sustainable Development, Strengthening International Cooperation in Science and Education in a Multi‐Cultural World, and 21st Century’s Triad: Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction.

 

Represented by its Chair, Dr. Athena Coustenis, the ESSC was invited to contribute to Session 3: 'Strengthening International Cooperation in Science and Education in a Multi‐Cultural World', alongside panelists representing various private and public institutions over three continents.
