She was impressed by the high quality of the presentations, and in particular of the very successful Chinese space program. She was also very happy to hear about new calls and invitations for international collaboration in the future missions that China will lead and in particular for the procurement of payloads also from foreign partners.

On 17-19 April 2019, the ESSC Chair attended the 2019 International Symposium on Lunar and Deep Space Exploration and gave a presentation on the “Perspectives of the Scientific Community on the European Space Program” where she described the European opportunities for scientific research and investigations in space in many different fields.
