Courtney designs and executes strategic communication for major space science organizations across Europe, including the European Space Sciences Committee, the European Astrobiology Institiute, the Europlanet Society, and its major scientific conference on planetary science, the Europlanet Society Congress (EPSC). She also produces video and editorial content and manages social media channels. 

Courtney comes from a psychology academic background, with a Masters of Science in Political Psychology from Queens University Belfast. Prior to her work with The European Science Foundation, she was part of the Education Team at Armagh Observatory and Planetarium. She is a passionate advocate for public engagement with science.
